Stephen Powell is the president of Erwin Sports, LLC, located in Lineville, Alabama, a manufacturer of American made sporting goods.  In the spring of 1998, Stephen’s brother, Richard Powell invented a baseball/softball spring driven pitching machine known as the UPM Blue Flame or Black Flame. This great machine has served leagues well for the past 20 years. 

Now after listening to users about how to make it even better, Mr. Powell invented a NEW & IMPROVED model to replace his first invention. This newly developed product is the latest State-of-the-Art manual pitching machine, known as the Perfect Pitch ARM ™ (Accurate * Rapid-Throw * Machine). The new machine is more ACCURATE (throws both old and new balls the same), is QUICK TO SET UP AND ADJUST, and is very EASY TO OPERATE (no more tiresome procedure, having to step down on a spring lever before each pitch).

Richard likes to say "We don't invent pitching machines – We solve problems!"  To that end, he did not rest on his past accomplishments, but went to work developing and getting a new patent on a product that is proudly made in the USA (Alabama).  No more dependence on overseas manufacturing and long delivery times, and we’re helping bring jobs back home to America!
